Since the moment I decided I would join the MPC till
the first day, the countdown to start was pretty exciting. I wanted to start as
soon as possible and I was very happy with the idea of this learning. The first
week fulfilled all my expectations. It was great to finally get started and to
see how easily one can exponentially grow intellect when working in community,
with the ideas of others; even if they are opposed to what you think or
believe. I was expecting the same for the next week, but to my surprise the
second week was awful. We had “dialogues”, if that’s what they were supposed to
be called, that appeared more to be like endless debates on trivial things.
Although these so called dialogues were frustrating, angry, and exhaustive, I
understand they are also a process of learning. Even though it appeared that
there was little understanding of the discussion that lead to no knowledge, one
can learn a lot from these experiences. One must learn how to deal with these
situations, how to react, how to find ways to improve them; one must learn to
improve the process in order to perfect it.
